VINN and IIE have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The parties have agreed to -
a) Share experiences and information in order to identify good practice between the two institutions in order to foster the development of an entrepreneurial society, capable of innovating, creating jobs and seizing the opportunities provided by globalisation, while helping to promote sustainable growth, integrated development and social cohesion.
b) Share and develop methods and common tools for entrepreneurs in order to get cheaper and faster start ups by focussing on improved on-line access for entrepreneurs.
c) Develop methods projects/programmes in order to strengthen the technological capacity of entrepreneurs and exploiting technology for co-operation between the two institutions.
d) In general work with entrepreneurship and social inclusions with particular attention to the use of e-learning as a delivery method to create new companies in a larger scale, particularly for women and young entrepreneurs.
e) Develop stronger, more effective representation of Indian and Norwegian entrepreneurs’ interest at international, national and regional level.
f) Work together to find appropriate funding to the activities above.

About our partner Organisation -
VINN is a consultancy enterprise, located in OSLO, Trondheim, Bodo, Narvik and Tromso. The main office is in Narvik. The main business fields are advisory services, industrial design and prototyping and information systems and services.

VINN is a knowledge based institute with approximately 75 highly qualified employees of varied and renowned experiences. Brief History -
· 1956 : Established as the North Norwegian regional office of the National Institute of technology.
· 1975 : An independent institute - Veiledningsinstituttet for Industrien i Nord-Norge (VINN) (The North Norwegian Institute of Technology).
· 1988 : Transition from governmental institute to a private foundation.
· From 1992 services aimed at broader national market.
· Today VINN is an independent foundation.

Presently VINN is focusing on exporting information systems and services targeted towards entrepreneurs and micro business. VINN has gained a great deal of expertise from both national and European projects. We now look for partners outside Europe in order to export tailored made e-content and learning systems for private entrepreneurship training and education.

VINNs role in the Norwegian concept for setting up the national internet based business start up training and meeting place for entrepreneurs is :
· Identification of training needs for different user segments.
· Development and design of internet based training and virtual meeting places for entrepreneurship.
· Implementation and organisation of various training programmes with a blended approach (the online and offline material in combinations).

With more than 10,000 registered online students, VINN has gained experience and know-how that we will share with partners in order to set up e-learning concepts for entrepreneurship in your region. In addition, VINN have several sub-contractors delivering offline and online components (software and hardware) in order to maximise learning for the target group. In the cases where there is need for competence of VINN, VINN will be happy to facilitate new relationships with our sub-contractors and your company in order to find new solutions on learning components.
