Clusters on beekeeping can be developed in the districts with emphasis on apis melifera so that productivity and production could be enhanced. The training of the prospective beekeepers has to be carried out simultaneously with the construction of the common facility centre so that delay in production could be reduced. For this the nodal agency has to jointly work with the training organization and the NGO. The proposed cluster would increase the number of extraction from the present level so that the fruits of development can be achieved. The beneficiaries have to be given periodic consultancy and constant monitoring has to be taken up so that the operation of the cluster is smooth and problems could be attended at the earliest. The cluster should emphasize on scientific technique, quality of the product marketing linkages, and proper exposure. The cluster has to be developed as a comprehensive one looking into all aspect of the bee keeping activity starting from acquiring the skill to marketing the products. It is recommended that the cluster be made self-financing one after the fourth year of operation as the profitability is worked out to be quite high.
