Identify products purchased by government
departments and PSUs and suggest SSI units based on bulk
purchase pattern in North Eastern states. Specifically, the
study would focus on:

Identifying the products purchased by state
government department and PSUs,

Identifying SSI reserved items from the
purchases, value and trend of purchases, rates etc

Identifying bulk items procured from outside
NER and short listing items for manufacturing in SSI sector
in NER,

Assessing resource compatibility of the
region against the purchase items, existing units and
propose new SSI units.

Working out a development strategy in terms
of maintenance of quality standards, scope of NSIC role,
infrastructural facilities, potential location, common
facilities etc.
